The property and the buildings, one over 6,000 sq. ft. and the other about 1,000 sq.ft. are the result of a $15,000 donation received in 1999 after much of Honduras was devastated by Hurricane Mitch.
They house the First Aid clinic and ambulance stand-by and training center, library, computer room, ceramics shop, mechanics shop, other work areas, bathrooms, and living quarters.
The building is almost halfway complete. Using the spaces available, the O’Toole’s have spent much of their own money buying ambulances, books, and other things to deliver more services while still building.
This is an area where we need alot of help. Your annual partnership donation of $100 will be used for finishing the building, for example by allowing us to purchase locally made windows.
